Foreign currency accounts

Our customers may open foreign currency savings accounts, foreign currency current accounts and foreign currency special-purpose accounts. Interest rates on foreign currency savings accounts are annualized and nominal interest rate is equal to effective interest rate. With interest payments 20% is deducted on tax.

Inerest rates on foreign currency savings are as follows:

Foreign currency accounts may be opened for any person that has a valid identification card.

International payments

MONEY TRANSFER FROM ABROAD

CREDY BANKA transfers funds for its customers. The procedure is as follows:

and ask for instructions as to how to make the money transfer
-In accordance with the Bank's instructions the drawer gives an order to the corresponding bank to pay in the funds and remit them to CREDY BANKA
-By phone or letter, CREDY BANKA informs the recipient about the funds transferred
-The money transferred can be cashed 24 hours upon the currency date
-The received sum of money may be withdrawn by the recipient in the currency it was transferred, or it may be converted into any currency.

CHEQUE REMMITANCE FROM ABROAD

  • Traveler's and pension cheques may be cashed immediately.
  • Bank cheques amounting to the euro 5,000 may be cashed immediately.
  • Bank cheques exceeding the euro 5,000 may be cashed upon the bearer's agreement with CREDY BANKA on the term of the pay off.
  • When a cheque is cashed, the person named on it must be present in person and present his/her identity card r passport.
  • The cheque received from abroad is payable either at our Head Office or at any subsidiary.
If you want to send your money safely or cash your cheque promptly, you can buy a cheque in a foreign bank made out to the recipient. Do not worry if you lose your cheque - it cannot be cashed by an unknown person.

PENSIONS AND REMITTANCES FROM ABROAD

The Bank transfer or pays out your regular monthly pensions, insurance, legacies, disability pension and other welfare benefits.

Thanks to a wide network of foreign banks with which CREDY BANKA cooperates, your funds can be sent from Russia, Australia, the USA, Canada and other countries.

SOME INFORMATION FOR PENSIONERS LIKELY TO BECOME CUSTOMERS OF THE BANK

If you are going to receive your pension from aboard, it is sufficient that you

  • make contact with the pension fund at which you are entitled to get your pension
  • give an order to the Fund to transmit your funds to CREDY BANKA AD (SWIFT at KRAGCS22)
  • proved the Fund with data about yourself (name and surname, address and phone number)
  • As soon as your funds have been transferred to CREDY BANKA, we will invite you (in writing) to open your foreign currency account and take out your money.
WESTERN UNION

CREDY BANKA is a member of a wide branch-office network of Western Union - the leading world center for money transfer. It enables you to send or receive money all over the world, just in a few minutes. You neither have to have an account with a bank, nor pay any fees.

If you send money:

  • Fill in the money order.
  • Hand over the Order and the money and take the written receipt with control number.
  • Inform the receiver about the transfer.
If you receive money:

  • Upon being informed about the transfer by sender, visit the Bank, fill in the ''Money Receipt'' form and present your identification card.
  • The Bank's clerk will check if the transfer has been done, and if so, your money will be given to you immediately.

Foreign currency savings bonds trading

Our customers can use their special-purpose foreign currency accounts to buy or sell foreign currency savings bonds on Belgrade Stock Exchange.

Customer who wants both - to buy and to sell bonds has to open two separate special-purpose foreign currency accounts (one for buying and one for selling bonds).

After opening the account, a customer has to contact our Service for Broker-Dealer Activities:

Currency exchange transactions

CREDY BANKA buys and sells hard currencies to the citizens. When currencies are bought by CREDY BANKA, no commission is being charged; when currencies are sold by CREDY BANKA, commission from 1,5% to 2,5% is charged.
